Alaska Airlines to expand its Boeing fleet

Alaska Airlines will buy an additional 52 Boeing 737 Max planes through 2026 with the option to buy 105 more planes by 2030, furthering the airline’s goal of becoming a single aircraft group. The standardization of its fleet is expected to save the airline about $75 million to $100 million annually and will allow Alaska Airlines to add more transcontinental service.
