Alaska Airlines to focus on increasing frequency

After expanding its route map over the past two years, including six destinations added during the pandemic and new flights to Belize due to start this fall, Alaska Airlines will concentrate on increasing service to its existing network, said Brett Catlin, the carrier’s vice president of network and alliances. “We’ve consolidated maybe three or four years of growth into one as far as where we’re going,” Catlin said, and “we have a bit of catch-up to do in terms of building depth, because we don’t want to serve markets two or three times a week, we want to serve markets daily or double daily.”
