Alaska appoints its first female COO

Alaska has appointed Constance von Muehlen as its new COO, effective April 3, 2021. She recently served as senior vice president of the maintenance and engineering division where she led safety, compliance and operational performance of the airline’s mainline Boeing and Airbus fleet. Von Muehlen is the first female COO in Alaska Airlines history. Today, women comprise 40% of Alaska’s executive leadership team.
