Alaska pilots join Make-a-Wish flight for their daughter

Alaska Airlines pilots Ryan and Bethany McNelis have flown a lot of families to Florida as volunteers for Alaska’s Make-a-Wish flights, but never imagined they would be on one for their own family. This week, they were aboard a Make-a-Wish flight as passengers, accompanying their daughter, Maeve, who is fighting cancer. The airline “took care of us,” Bethany said, offering leave and flexible scheduling.
