Alaska transgender pilot fights for inclusion in the cockpit

Alaska Airlines First Officer Jessica paved the way for a new generation of transgender pilots by advocating for the Federal Aviation Administration to update their guidelines so that trans pilots are no longer required to clear burdensome medical or psychological hurdles. “It has always been my dream to work for an airline (and more specifically Alaska) with an inspiring diversity, equity, and inclusion program that helps build up marginalized communities,” she said.
