Allegiant Air’s longtime CEO, Maurice “Maury” Gallagher, has announced he will retire from his role effective June 1st 2022 and become executive chairman of the board. The company’s president, John Redmond, will replace Mr Gallagher as CEO. The transition comes as Allegiant enters the next chapter in its growth.

Mr Gallagher took control of Allegiant in 2001. At the time, the airline had just one airplane and was coming out of bankruptcy. Over the last 21 years, the airline has grown to be a successful carrier with over 110 aircraft, flying over 600 routes, and touching over 130 cities in the United States.
