American Airlines CEO Doug Parker joined a Ramadan fast for one day “to experience what it’s like for Muslims to fast, and also to step into the shoes of impoverished people.” American’s Muslim Employee Business Resource Group invited non-Muslims at American to join them on April 29, experiencing what Muslims do for the entire month of Ramadan, when they do not eat between 5:30 a.m. an 8:30 p.m.
