American cultivates pilot pipeline with Cadet Academy

American Airlines efforts to build a new source of aviator recruits through its Cadet Academy have started to bear fruit with the hiring of two Black pilots from the program. Founded in 2018 to provide students with resources to become commercial pilots, Cadet Academy aims to provide a steady pipeline of pilots while also increasing diversity in the field.
