American manager’s mentorship makes a difference

Angela Johnson, customer service manager at O’Hare International Airport, started her career at American as a fleet service clerk, and worked up to crew chief and later customer service manager in a predominantly male area of the industry. Her encouragement and mentorship is evident in her community where she ministers and serves others, including providing leadership training and skills mentorship for kids and young adults. “It’s my life’s work, my heart of hearts. It’s what I live for, and I would truly be sad if I could not help people the way we are able to,” she said.
