Analysis: Hotel sales brisk, though yield takes dip

US hotel transactions skyrocketed in number in the first quarter compared to 2021, though they dropped in value, Daniel H. Lesser of LW Hospitality Advisors writes. His data show 128 single-asset sales over $10 million, totaling $7.9 billion, compared to 31 transactions over $10 million for $8.1 billion in last year’s first quarter.
