Asia-Pacific rush highlighted by Hyatt’s plans for 760 hotels

Hilton Hotels is leading a resurgence in Asia-Pacific expansion by lodging firms betting on a post-pandemic explosion in travel, especially to and within Greater China. Hilton opened a record 100 hotels in the region in 2021, plans 760 more in coming years and has plenty of company in players such as billionaires Robert Kuok and Wee Cho Yaw.
