Astronics partners with LG for OLED technology

Astronics Corporation has entered into a partnership with LG Display to bring its OLED display technologies to the aviation marketplace. This relationship will give Astronics access to LG Display’s range of OLED displays, as well as to its technical support for development and integration. One example is Astronics’ new 77in 4K OLED IFE screen, the largest aircraft-certified smart display on the market.

“Astronics and LG Display have successfully collaborated to develop and deliver over 100 aviation-qualified 4k OLED products. Given our early success, we are advancing our partnership with LG Display, and expect to continue to leverage our combined capabilities to develop and launch new products for the aviation industry,” stated Taylor Prosba, VP & general manager of Astronics’ Custom Control Concepts division.
