Atlas Air considers fleet upgrades amid strong demand

As transatlantic capacity rises above prepandemic capacity, Atlas Air is investing in its core cargo shipping business. “We expect passenger networks will look different than prior to the pandemic, and will favor more leisure and point-to-point flying,” CEO John Dietrich predicts that this “will result in more need for dedicated freighters in major cargo trade lanes.”
