U.K.-based travel management company ATPI has renewed its agreement with Amadeus, making Amadeus its “primary global technology partner” and the adding use of Amadeus Selling Platform Connect to 15 countries, Amadeus announced.

Over the course of this year, ATPI—whose focus areas include corporate travel, marine and energy businesses, sports and corporate event management—plans to go live on Amadeus in its home country as well as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Hong Kong, India, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, United Arab Emirates and Canada, according to Amadeus. The TMC also will “expand upon its current use of Amadeus technology” in the United States and additional European markets and will implement some automation tools courtesy of Amadeus Robotics.

ATPI has been a longtime customer of Amadeus but also has worked with other global distribution systems and had listed Travelport as its primary GDS. An ATPI spokesperson said that “in all major markets, we enjoy strong relationships with more than one GDS.”

The TMC in recent weeks announced that it had added 13 new service locations during the past year. In a statement, ATPI Group CEO Ian Sinderson said extending its partnership with Amadeus was the “next logical step” for the TMC’s growth.

“With remote working becoming the new normal, Amadeus Selling Platform Connect will allow our travel experts around the world to work from anywhere, increasing efficiency, productivity, and further build on our excellent service levels to clients,” he said. “Combined with the most comprehensive content from the Amadeus Travel Platform, the latest in robotics technology and Amadeus’ wealth of expertise in the marine and energy sector, we are confident we will be able to continue to grow our customer base and deliver excellent customer service while also meeting our ambitious efficiency objectives.”
