European turboprop aircraft manufacturer ATR has made waves at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg from June 6-8, 2023, with the launch of their new ATR HighLine collection featuring five luxurious cabin concepts.

Geared towards premium operators in both commercial and executive aviation, these offerings cater to discerning travelers at the top end of the air travel market.

One standout is the “Multi-Class” cabin, boasting a 50-seat interior layout that includes a dedicated first-class section—an uncommon feature for an aircraft of this size.

For those seeking an upscale corporate experience, the “All-Business Class” cabin can accommodate up to 30 passengers and targets Part 135 and premium airlines, think along the lines of JSX or Aero.

The “Premium-Flex” cabin is aptly named for its focus on flexibility, with the ability to convert from a standard 2-2 cabin layout to a more corporate-like 1-1 configuration, complete with ATR’s innovative “X-Space Table” concept, providing passengers with a spacious solid side-desk during their flight.

Designed with heads of state and senior government officials in mind, the “Multi-Section” cabin interior adds another level of luxury and exclusivity.

Rounding out the collection is the “Bespoke VIP” cabin, which lives up to its name by being fully customizable to match the unique needs and tastes of each operator catering to a high-end clientele.

Notably, ATR is positioning its turboprops as an eco-friendly alternative not only to regional jets but also to executive aircraft. According to Tarek Ben Omrane, ATR’s head of Business Development, their aircraft provide the same cabin size as the largest business jets while cutting carbon emissions in half, making them the only aircraft manufacturer in the world to achieve this feat.

With ATR turboprops boasting a remarkable 45% reduction in fuel consumption and carbon emissions compared to a jet of similar size, sustainability becomes a critical selling point. The recent European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva highlighted the industry’s awareness of its environmental footprint and the need to address this reputational concern. As sustainability continues to take center stage in the industry, ATR’s clean and eco-conscious approach is likely to dominate conversations for the foreseeable future.
