Bahrain Airport Company and Bahrain Car Parks Company “Amakin” sign contract for car park maintenance services

Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) awarded a contract for the provision of maintenance services at Bahrain International Airport’s (BIA) parking facilities to Bahrain Car Parks Company (Amakin). BAC Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah signed the agreement alongside Amakin CEO Tariq Al Jowder during the Bahrain International Airshow, in the presence of BAC Vice President of ICT Mahmood Al Siddiqi.

Mr. Al Binfalah said: “Securing strategic partnerships that add value to BIA’s offerings is a priority for BAC. As is befitting of an airport that can accommodate up to 14 million passengers annually, parking at BIA is convenient, efficient, and economical with short and long-term parking facilities that can accommodate approximately 5,500 vehicles. We are pleased to partner with Amakin, which specializes in parking maintenance, to ensure our facilities continue to serve visitors safely and effectively for years to come.”

Mr. Al Jowder said: “BAC and Amakin share the same values in serving the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people. We are confident that this partnership will further strengthen the services sector, and reflect positively on the national economy. This agreement is also a major business achievement for Amakin, which is in line with our ambition to expand our offerings to Bahrain’s key industries, including aviation. We look forward to supporting BIA with its mission as the primary gateway for visitors to the Kingdom.”

The state-of-the-art multi-story car park (Car Park B) spans three floors and includes 2,700 parking spaces less than a minute’s walk from the terminal. The car park, which can be used for pick-ups and drop-offs, houses a taxi staging area, a car wash, automated payment machines, and dedicated spaces for people with special needs.

With two entry and three exit points, the advanced parking facility is simple to navigate and offers a range of services that make arriving and departing from BIA as seamless as possible.
