Baltimore “squeegee kids” get real jobs with Hotel Revival

The Hotel Revival in Baltimore is one of several entities, and the only private business, to hire so-called “squeegee kids” as an alternative to the unwelcome practice of car windshield cleaning. Ten of the young people have been hired since May, working as bell attendants and kitchen and housekeeping help, says Donte Johnson, the hotel’s general manager.
