Vietnamese leisure airline Bamboo Airways plans to keep expanding its current aircraft fleet size and has announced a goal to triple the number of planes to 100 jets by 2028, according to a report by Vietnamese online newspaper, VnExpress International.

The report, which was published on July 6, 2022, cited Dang Tat Thang, chairman of the carrier’s parent company FLC, and said that the airline aims to increase its domestic and international network to become a five-start carrier of a global standard.

“To achieve this goal, Bamboo Airways needs many new investors to increase its capital,” VnExpress quoted Dang Tat Thang as saying.
