Biden will keep travel bans despite new testing mandate

As the aviation industry works with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to clarify the details of required COVID-19 testing for passengers flying to the US, the Trump Administration announced it would lift bans on travel from the European Union, the UK and Brazil, a move airlines have pushed for. But spokeswoman Jen Psaki said on Twitter that President Joe Biden would reinstate that ban “on the advice of our medical team,” adding: “In fact, we plan to strengthen public health measures around international travel in order to further mitigate the spread of COVID-19.”
