Authors and BBQ connoisseurs Rodney Scott, Lolis Eric Elie and Adrian Miller sit down for a Q&A with Forbes to share the inspiration, history and anecdotal painful memories that went into writing their upcoming books, “Rodney Scott’s World of BBQ” and “Black Smoke: African Americans and the United States of Barbecue.” They underscore the importance of continuing to celebrate the contribution of Black people to our culture and acknowledge that “it’s on us to make sure these names are not forgotten again,” says Elie.
