Boeing has stopped importing titanium from Russia

Boeing has stopped importing titanium from Russia in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Boeing said Monday Mar. 7 it will no longer buy titanium from Russia and instead will rely on inventories and alternative suppliers for airplane production.

Boeing said it doesn’t anticipate a major disruption to aircraft output in the near term, after an initiative in recent years to diversify its metal sourcing arrangements. The decision to stop purchases comes after the U.S. planemaker said last week that it would suspend major operations in Moscow.
