Bookings up as US reopens to international travelers

Today, the United States reopened its borders to international travelers, ending 18 months of travel restrictions and reuniting families and friends who have been separated for nearly two years. Under the new guidelines, foreign nationals who can provide proof of vaccination and a recent negative coronavirus test can enter the US. “US airlines have been preparing for weeks, if not months, to implement the new global framework and are eager to welcome back travelers from across the globe,” Airlines for America wrote. Among its tips for the new travel experience, A4A encouraged travelers to consult their airline’s website for guidance, download the carrier’s mobile application for a seamless check-in experience and allow extra time to get through security checkpoints.
