Business travel can take a toll on mental and physical health, with studies finding that some frequent travelers report higher levels of anxiety, depression and sleeping issues than those taking fewer trips, and the pandemic has given executives a chance to reconsider how much travel is truly essential. “I hope there will be a shift away from such frivolous flying to more focused flying by the more enlightened and thoughtful businesses,” said Chris Rowley, professor of human resource management at The Business School.
