British Airways currently serves Hong Kong 4 weekly, but it rises to 1 daily from December 19th, just in time for Christmas.

After a year-long absence, British Airways has resumed regular passenger flights from London Heathrow to Hong Kong. They returned on December 5th, in the build-up to Christmas, in response to Hong Kong slowly lifting coronavirus restrictions. BA has operated daily freight services to Hong Kong for many months, but it is excellent to see passenger flights back again.

At 19:02 on December 5th, BA31, operating as ‘Speedbird Three One Foxtrot,’ took off from London Heathrow bound for Hong Kong. After 11h 58m and overflying Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, it landed at 15:00 local time, according to Flightradar24. It marked the reintroduction of regular passenger service.

BA currently serves Hong Kong 4 weekly, but it rises to 1 daily from December 19th, just in time for Christmas. Most significantly and potentially subject to change, it is scheduled and bookable to rise to 2 daily (BA’s long-term normal frequency) on March 27th, the second day of the northern summer season.
