Calif. law focuses on rehiring of laid-off hospitality workers

California’s Right to Return law forces hotels, airport hospitality businesses, janitorial employers and event centers to offer jobs to the workers they laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic when they begin hiring. The law doesn’t address stand-alone restaurants but does affect those connected to event centers, hotels and airports.
