Calif. tourism up from 2020 but still below pre-COVID levels

A new report by Visit California found that in 2021, the state’s tourism economy improved, bringing with it a 46% increase over the previous year, but still fell short of pre-pandemic numbers, hitting just $5.4 billion compared to 2019’s almost $28 billion. Visit California is working to promote professional meetings and events in the state to help restart business travel.
