Cancellations widespread in wake of winter storm

The latest winter storm has caused the cancellation of about 5,200 flights as of Thursday morning, FlightAware reports. And Amtrak has canceled several routes in the Midwest. The storm is affecting about 100 million Americans from New Mexico to Maine and more flight cancellations are expected as the slow-moving system crosses the country.
