Cargo exec: State rules could disrupt operations

Steve Alterman, president of the Cargo Airline Association, said cargo operations could be disrupted as well as passenger service if states begin imposing “50 different rules” in the wake of a court decision that a California employment law applies to airlines. Airlines for America agrees that the Federal Aviation Act bars states and localities from regulating air carriers.
