Cargo revenue continues to boost United

Cargo revenue, up by 74% in the first quarter of 2021 compared to 2019, continues to be a bright spot for United Airlines, as executives acknowledge a full recovery won’t occur until business travel rebounds. “We’ve shifted our focus to the next milestone on the horizon and now see a clear path to profitability,” said CEO Scott Kirby, citing “strong evidence of pent-up demand for air travel and our continued ability to nimbly match it.”
