Hotel and tourism leaders are bullish on Chicago’s hospitality prospects, but cite caveats of staff shortages, lagging business travel recovery and the persistent coronavirus threat. Choose Chicago President and CEO Lynn Osmond uses “remarkable” and “tremendous” to describe hotel occupancy’s climb to 75% of 2019 levels and above-2019 room rates through the first half of this year.
