Chicago’s Midway Airport, the 26th busiest in the United States, has announced plans to introduce its inaugural passenger lounge, “Club MDW,” in 2024. The lounge, developed in partnership with Airport Dimensions, a global provider of airport lounges and experiences, will offer an array of amenities and services for travelers.

Located in the airport’s main mall, at the intersection of concourses A and B, Club MDW will encompass 3,300 square feet. The lounge’s design will draw inspiration from Chicago’s architectural history and culture, featuring metallic tones, minimalist geometry, and plush upholstery.

Travelers can access the lounge through various options, including Priority Pass, a worldwide lounge membership program offering access to over 1,300 lounges in more than 600 airports. Passengers can also purchase a day pass for $50 or utilize their premium travel rewards credit cards that offer lounge benefits.

The introduction of Club MDW is part of Midway Airport’s $9 billion expansion and modernization initiative, which encompasses the addition of new gates, terminal renovations, security system upgrades, and enhancements to parking and roadways. The lounge aims to elevate the customer experience and satisfaction while attracting more airlines and passengers to Midway.

Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee of the Chicago Department of Aviation expressed excitement about the lounge, stating, “Club MDW will provide our customers with a comfortable and relaxing space to enjoy before or after their flights. This lounge is another example of how we are investing in Midway’s future and delivering on our promise to provide world-class service and amenities to our travelers.”
