Choice Hotels Triumphs in Swift Integration of Radisson Hotels Americas

Choice Hotels International has announced the successful and rapid integration of the Radisson Hotels Americas business, marking a significant milestone just 16 months after acquiring the brand in August 2022. This achievement showcases Choice Hotels’ expertise in expanding and enhancing its hospitality portfolio.

As a result of this acquisition, nearly 600 Radisson hotels have been seamlessly transitioned into Choice Hotels’ franchise system and digital platforms. The integration was completed with the migration of Radisson properties to Choice’s proprietary choiceADVANTAGE and ChoiceMAX systems, finalizing the transition.

In an impressive feat, all Radisson Americas brands, including Radisson Blu, Radisson, and Country Inn & Suites, were integrated into Choice’s central reservation system by July, less than a year post-acquisition. This integration made these properties readily bookable through ChoiceHotels.com, expanding the options available to guests.

Choice Hotels President and CEO Pat Pacious commented on the integration, saying, “The swift completion of this integration highlights Choice’s unmatched capability in assimilating and enhancing hotel brands. The integration of Radisson Hotels Americas not only strengthens our portfolio but also positions us to further support our franchisees in reducing costs, increasing profitability, and enhancing performance.”

The successful digital migration has yielded substantial growth in traffic, bookings, and revenue on ChoiceHotels.com and its mobile app. The combined figures from the Choice and Radisson Americas platforms show a significant increase, with digital visits up by four percent, bookings by five percent, and booked revenue by three percent. Mobile app-specific metrics also show impressive gains, with visits increasing by 19 percent, bookings by 18 percent, and revenue by 13 percent.

Pacious added, “This integration strengthens the entire Choice Hotels system, benefiting all of our distinguished hotel brands, our dedicated franchisees, and the millions of guests we serve daily. It’s a collective win for everyone involved.”

This announcement comes on the heels of Choice Hotels’ recent initiative to commence an exchange offer to acquire Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, further demonstrating the company’s strategic growth and expansion efforts in the hospitality industry.
