City may sell indebted Grand Hyatt in San Antonio

The City of San Antonio has put the Grand Hyatt Hotel, adjacent to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, up for sale to cover the hotel’s failure to keep up with payment of revenue bonds used to build it. An Arizona nonprofit is likely to buy the 1,000-room property and free the city from bond payments it took over from Hyatt during the pandemic.
