This week, we asked what concerns your clients have about traveling.

Texas-based advisor Linda de Sosa notes that she and several clients have been affected by schedule changes. They experienced misconnections of up to a day. “At the airport as I left the US, I was helping a whole bunch of fellow travelers who had not checked changes and were stranded.”

Dorothy E. Flannery, who is based in Florida, mainly books cruises and notes that she and her clients are concerned about booking trips that end up being canceled. “I don’t want to book a cruise only to have to chase down the refund several months later,” Flannery said. “I’ve had to become a forensic accountant going back three or four bookings, tracing future cruise credits that were applied to a client’s bookings for several of her relatives, and then those bookings that were changed to different sailing dates.” — Katie Parks
