Collins Aerospace joins the single-aisle suite race with Aurora

Collins Aerospace has joined the competitive arena of business-class suites for narrow-body aircraft. The company unveiled the Aurora suite at this week’s Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, with a design that integrates seamlessly with existing or bespoke front and aft cabin furniture to optimise footprint, functionality and service.

The latter point relates to the increased crew work area volume enabled by the integration. Within the seat, width has been maximised, and passengers set deeper into the seatback and next to the window – increasing privacy and maintaining 78in of bed length.

Customisation options for Aurora include a privacy door, a modified suite shell to include a central privacy divider, and bespoke trim and finish options.

Aurora is scheduled to be delivered to its first customers beginning in 2024.
