Comeback by the numbers: New hotels abound in Bay Area

The California Bay Area’s recovery from the pandemic’s devastation is reflected in a 127% increase in new hotels in 2021 over 2020, as cited in a new study. “We are definitely seeing signs that point to a big and rapid rebound for hotel openings and hotel construction,” said Atlas Hospitality Group President Alan Reay, who also projected that the trend would continue into 2023.
