Council approves replacing Grand Hyatt in Manhattan

The New York City Council has paved the way for development of the Grand Hyatt Hotel site at 175 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, but the 1,575-foot tower will arrive along with cash for public amenities and transit improvements. TF Cornerstone and RXR Realty are the developers of a new 500-room hotel that will include space for cultural and art events.
