Hotel 48° Nord, a French-Norwegian conception that took eight years to bring to fruition, features 14 self-contained cottages and cabins arranged in a wooded hillside in the French Alsace. A main building with reception, restaurant and spa is set off from the hytte, as the guest structures are called, and compatibility with the landscape is intrinsic to the design.
