Defunct Days Inn undergoes transition to use by homeless

A former Asheville Days Inn dating to the 1960s is being repurposed into supportive housing for homeless people in what is termed the first project of its kind in Western North Carolina. The Homeward Bound organization bought the property for $6.5 million, while public and private funding will cover the conversion cost.
