Willie Walsh, the director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has warned the aviation industry to prepare for constraints on airline capacity until 2025. Walsh cited delays in new aircraft deliveries and a lack of spare parts available to deal with demand as the primary causes of the issue.

The IATA boss said that 2023 would be a labored year for the industry, and he cannot see any significant improvement until at least 2025. Walsh’s comments come after Airbus issued a warning to customers about potential delivery delays of the A320neo family aircraft, affecting hundreds of the type.
