Delta Air Lines Expands Service with New Route from Miami to Nassau
Delta Air Lines, the second-largest airline in the US, announced that it will start a new service from Miami to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, on November 5. The new service will be the first time that Delta has flown that route, but the airline also serves Nassau from Boston, Atlanta, and both New York City airports.
The new service will operate daily, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 16 first-class seats and 144 economy seats. The flight will depart from Miami International Airport (MIA) at 10:30 a.m. and arrive at Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) at 11:30 a.m. The return flight will depart from Nassau at 12:30 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 1:30 p.m.
The new service will offer more options and convenience for customers traveling between South Florida and the Bahamas, as well as connecting opportunities to other domestic and international destinations. The service will also boost tourism and trade between the two regions, which have strong cultural and economic ties.
Joe Esposito, Delta’s senior vice president of network planning, said that the new service was part of the airline’s strategy to expand its presence in Miami and the Caribbean. He said that Delta was committed to providing the best value and service in the industry, with competitive fares, free Wi-Fi, free live TV and movies, free headphones, and free snacks and drinks.
The new service will be available for booking starting on August 21. Customers can visit Delta’s website or use its mobile app to make reservations, check flight status, or manage their travel plans.
