Delta Air Lines has introduced a new pilot training academy in Vero Beach, Florida, as a part of its Propel Pilot Career Path Program. In partnership with Skyborne Airline Academy, this academy offers aspiring pilots a specialized and accelerated route to becoming a Delta pilot.

The Delta Propel Flight Academy guarantees high-quality instruction, modern aircraft and advanced training equipment, as well as mentoring by experienced Delta pilots. Students will have access to a newly refurbished 12,000 square foot co-branded facility. The training program includes private, instrument, commercial, and certified flight instructor training, all delivered with an airline-focused approach.

Delta is committed to supporting eligible students by offering up to $20,000 in financial aid and covering the interest on student loans from select lenders. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a conditional job offer and a clear career pathway to becoming a Delta pilot.

Melissa F., a first officer based in Atlanta, emphasized the significance of this program by stating, “This is a set path and gives people a clear direction to go from no flying experience and end up at the best carrier in the world.”

The Delta Propel Flight Academy represents the fourth pathway introduced by the Propel Pilot Career Path Program since its establishment in 2018. Up to now, nearly 100 participants have completed the Company, College, and Community pathway programs, and are now flying for Delta. Moreover, around 700 pilots are currently enrolled in the program, actively working towards achieving the same goal.

Applications are now open for interested candidates to join the Delta Propel Flight Academy. The first class of students is scheduled to begin their training in June. For further information, visit the Delta Careers website.
