Delta Air Lines is opening a new $1.9 billion terminal at Los Angeles International Airport featuring 27 gates, 1.2 million square feet of space for passengers, and a 30,000 square-foot club lounge with an outdoor bar. “Airports on both coasts and in the heartland are upgrading in a big way,” NBC’s Tom Costello said. “Delta took advantage of the pandemic slowdown to speed up its LAX construction project.” Other large airports receiving major redesigns include Seattle-Tacoma International, Denver International Airport and all three New York-area airports.
