Delta’s most senior flight attendant reflects on CRAF flight service
Joan Crandall’s 62-year career as a Delta Air Lines flight attendant has included service in three Civil Reserve Air Fleet activations: in support of Operation Desert Shield in 1990-91 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2002-03, and now in the recent refugee airlift evacuations from Afghanistan where she served on flights from Ramstein Air Base to Washington Dulles International Airport. “It is a wonderful thing for those of us in the airline and aviation to be a part of,” said Crandall, who is Delta’s most experienced flight attendant.
