Destinations clients are interested in
An informal survey of our readers found that advisors are starting to see increased interest in travel, with clients looking to rebook trips canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic or looking for a getaway after isolation.
A Pennsylvania-based luxury travel expert notes that even though he has had “substantial international bookings” for next year, he has received more inquiries for domestic travel in 2021.
While he has seen little interest in 2021 cruise bookings, others have seen demand for cruises to various destinations, including Alaska, Hawaii, the Bahamas and Mexico.
Several advisors mentioned increased interest in African destinations, such as Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. “Clients are interested in smaller camps and lodges and open vehicles for game drives,” Connecticut-based Victoria Herbert said.
