Disney Cruise Line Debuts New Float at Macy’s Parade
This year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature a dazzling new addition from Disney Cruise Line. The float, titled “Magic Meets the Seas,” showcases the bows of eight Disney cruise ships, with a special highlight on the soon-to-debut Disney Treasure, set for its maiden voyage on December 21.
The festivities will be led by Captain Mickey Mouse and Captain Minnie Mouse and will include a dynamic performance choreographed around the theme “Live the Adventure,” the anthem of Disney Treasure. The show will also incorporate popular songs from beloved Disney, Pixar, and Marvel movies, including tracks from “Coco,” “Moana,” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
Denise Case, director of entertainment creative for Disney Live Entertainment, expressed enthusiasm about the ongoing collaboration with Macy’s. “Disney Cruise Line is thrilled to continue our partnership with Macy’s, bringing a sprinkle of extra pixie dust this holiday season with our brand-new float design,” said Case. She highlighted that the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is an ideal venue for showcasing Disney’s unique magic, promising an enchanting experience that will captivate New York City’s streets.
The unveiling of this float marks a celebratory moment for Disney Cruise Line as it anticipates expanding its fleet to 13 ships by 2031. The parade performance not only introduces the Disney Treasure but also celebrates the continued growth and magic of Disney’s maritime adventures.
