Americans are spearheading a rebound in Dominican Republic tourism, where hotel occupancy reached 70.6% in the last week of March, the highest level in a year, the island’s government reports. Non-resident foreign arrivals increased 3.4% over March 2020, and 70% of the passengers were from the US.
