DOT dashboard helps fliers navigate disruptions
The US Transportation Department today debuted a customer service dashboard that lets travelers check to see what kinds of guarantees, refunds or compensation airlines offer in case of flight delays or cancellations. “Passengers deserve transparency and clarity on what to expect from an airline when there is a cancellation or disruption,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, noting that the dashboard will help travelers to “easily understand their rights, compare airline practices, and make informed decisions.”
