DoubleTree by Hilton is celebrating National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day today, August 4, by offering more travelers a taste of their signature chocolate chip cookies.

Starting today, all travelers checking into a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in the United States will be offered a chocolate chip cookie that is non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free and free of the nine largest allergens: wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame and shellfish.

The cookie will now be offered as an alternative to the traditional chocolate chip cookie upon check-in. The cookie was created by Partake Foods, a Black-owned allergy-friendly cookie company.

To keep it safe from cross-contamination, the cookies are also individually wrapped in a sealed package.

According to FoodAllergy.org, an estimated 32 million Americans have at least one food allergy, and that number has been on the rise for decades.
