easyJet reinforces its position at Porto airport

The third day of February marked the day easyJet transported 14 million passengers at Porto airport and the day the airline announced the reinforcement of its operation with two more based aircraft

The company announced that it will base two more aircraft at Porto airport that will enable to open three new routes from Porto to Cologne, Madrid and Porto Santo, boost capacity by 350,000 seats and create 70 direct jobs.

With this reinforcement, the company increases its based fleet in Portugal to 15 aircraft (five in Lisbon, six in Porto and four in Faro) and its jobs in the country to more than 520 people, of which 214 are based in Porto, said the director general of easyJet, José Lopes, at a press conference.
